Who I Am
A camera first found its way into my hands in 2008, in Oslo. The real subject found me later, through years working in hospitality and hotel events, where I learned where the light falls and when the real moments happen. I've always been an observer, curious about what a gesture gives away — and the camera gave that instinct somewhere to go.
The Throughline
I don't chase the dramatic shot — I chase one point of sharp focus inside a sea of soft, out-of-focus space.
Whatever the subject, from macro to events, my work is tied together by the way I use light and focus. The mood stays quiet and atmospheric.
Light that shapes the subject and sets the mood.
Shallow depth of field, used deliberately.
Muted tones with a single accent of colour.
Calm frames with space around the subject.
Observational and discreet.
Quiet and slightly cinematic.
Where It Shows Up
The same approach, applied to every subject I photograph.
Plants and insects in close, quiet detail.
Conferences and corporate events, edited to keep the atmosphere of the room.
Calm compositions and soft light, in nature and in the city.
Dishes photographed with attention to texture and light. Bookable as a standalone service: see Food Photography.
